Surrounded by the soft glow of warm lighting, brick walls and ambient music, there’s no better place to be during autumn than inside Labarake. The restaurant’s ambiance seems made perfectly for this time of year. Just in time for fall they have freshened their menu with tastes that will want to keep us cozying up well into winter. Added to their menu are autumn delights like a mushroom trilogy salad and an arugula salad with fresh figs, caramelized pecans, fresh Parmesan and raspberry vinaigrette wonderfully seasonal starters. The main dishes at Labarake fit the season perfectly. Their risotto of the moment are always imaginative and the seven hour braised beef is perfect on its own or topped on a Labarake poutine. As always, their burger is outstanding. Their best new additions to the dessert menu are the clafoutis de mere-grand and the new chocolate mousse made just up the street at Montreal’s new Chocolate Academy. Overall the additions to the menu are the type of comfort food we crave as the temperature starts to slowly decline. For more info on their menu, click here (in French only).
