Playing the Field

From May 16th to the 24th, Soccer (or football as its called around the globe – except here in North America…) will be the focus of a weeklong festival dedicated to its influence in film, art, music and global culture.

Kicking off on May 16th with a concert by the Kaiser Cheifs at the Corona Virgin Moblie theatre, Pitchfest will continue with a vernissage at Station 16 (St. Laurent) on the 19th, a series of Football Films presented at Cinema du parc (from the 21st to the 24th) and a round table discussion on the explosion of women’s soccer.

Pitchfest combines a lot of passion from across the spectrum of art and sports.
