One Full Circle

A couple of weeks ago Taverne F celebrated its 1st anniversary with a packed house, a fired-up grill and delicious cocktails made with Grand Marnier. Backed by the Ferreira Group and housed in one of two glass covered, beautifully simple spaces on the Quartier des spectacles sprawling esplanade, Taverne F is a Portuguese eatery that has all the magic ingredients a restaurant needs to succeed. The food at the event was prepared in an outdoor wood fired grill by brave souls, in the freezing cold. We feasted on fried calamari, sausage and more.

Taverne F 2The event also underlined a new menu formula that Taverne F will be offering its clients. For $21 dollars, you have the choice of three petiscos (like tapas), available during lunch or after 8pm. The menu features Portuguese favorites like Churrasco, seared sea bass, scallops and blood pudding, Madera braised rabbit, poutine with salted cod and more. You can also enjoy a glass of wine for $8 when choosing the three petiscos menu.

Taverne F 5Taverne F is a wonderful place for people watching in the summer (on their great terrasse) and cozying up for a good time when the cold sets in. They have a selection of Portuguese beer, a great wine list and the service has always been friendly and engaging, each time I’ve been.
