Late last month we attended the 4th annual Désorientation fundraiser at the Entrepôts Dominion near Atwater Market in Saint-Henri. After last year’s blowout event our expectations were sky high and this year’s event didn’t disappoint. Once again the sold-out event was the top-ticket talk of the town gathering a massive, and well-dressed crowd, for a great cause.
Gathering over 500 of Montreal’s professionals for a dressed-up night out in Montreal, Désorienation raised its goal of over $55,000. The funds raised will be used to extend financial aid to support the various activities of GRIS Montreal (learn more about the organization here). The not-for-profit organization works primarily to demystify both homosexuality and bisexuality in our society and helps those in need.
Presented by the National Bank the night featured food and drink from local GRIS supporters such as Griffintown’s, Le Richmond (the restaurant’s owner, Luc Laroche was this year’s honorary President), Auberge Saint-Gabriel, Station W and more. A silent auction, DJs including the wonderful Sandy Duperval and much more. We partied well into the early morning hours.
A big thank you to the organizers of Désorientation and to the team behind GRIS Montreal. The endless work they do helps make our city a much better and accepting place to live. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.
