Le Blossom Bar

Restaurant openings may not be very representative of an establishments every day grind but they sure are exciting events on their own. Being among the first to experience a new space, taste the new cocktails and try the food is thrilling to say the least. When a chef, a restauranteur and a designer come together to create something new, like the fabulous Blossom Bar on the corner of de Maisonneuve and Amherst in the Village, the potential to wow is limitless.

Because it was opening night at Blossom the place was packed to the rafters with people sipping on cocktails and sampling food so I’ll have to return to get a feel for how the restaurant works under normal circumstances. The food I tried was standard but good and there’s a lot I didn’t get to try; I’m looking forward to more. The cocktails were a bit sweet for my liking but I’m more drawn bitters than sugary drinks. That being said, they were blended well and anyone who does like a sweet cocktail will no doubt fall in love with these.

saladewakami2It’s great to see another new bar opening in an area that needs as many fresh ideas as possible. I’m looking forward to more from Blossom and I think you should definitely check it out for yourselves.
