There are days that call for absolute relaxation. As much as I like to think I lead a relatively balanced life (like sleeping enough, eating well enough etc.), the truth of the matter is, when it comes to pampering, I don’t do hardly enough. We all deserve to take a little time out of our busy lives to slow down and relax, that’s why I love having a spa like Saint-Jude Gym and Spa so close.
I’ve been to Saint-Jude Spa a couple of times over the last few years but on my latest visit I decided to amp it up a little and get a massage from Studio Bliss. I rarely get massages but I needed to work out a few kinks after a stressful few months. Saint-Jude and Studio Bliss were happy to accommodate and I had one of the best hour-long massages of my life at the spa. Jessica was perfect in her approach and made sure I was comfortable, asking me what exactly it was that I needed. I spend way too much time in front of a computer and my upper back has been paying for it. She paid close attention to the area and today I feel amazing. Maybe next time I will take one of their yoga classes.
After the massage I took advantage of the rest of the spa’s services which include a dry sauna, a eucalyptus bath, two outdoor hot tubs and a cold bath – all the greatest hits of the Nordic spas Montreal loves so much. Relaxing in the sun after a perfect massage was an excellent way to spend a couple of hours. It’s hard to believe you’re sitting above one of the busiest streets in the city.
The sounds of water flowing, birds chirping and wind breezing through the trees is music to my ears and returning to Saint-Jude Spa again soon is high on my list.
