Nightlife lovers have yet another address to add to their arsenal. La Voûte is the latest nightclub to open in Old Montreal and no expense was spared in turning the massive bank vault into a state-of-the-art nightlife hotspot.
At a special media preview we experienced La Voûte first hand and from the decent into the club to the décor inside, nothing compares to what we experienced. The journey down into the vault is long enough that it gives you plenty of time to build up some serious anticipation. The mysteriously masked bankers, the feather frocked receptionist and a fully decked out opera singer set a mysterious and cinematic tone to the evening.
Inside the nightclub the heat rose to an astounding level as hundreds of people gathered to get a first glimpse at where Montrealers will be spending their Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights this summer. Cocktails at La Voûte are crafted by Montreal’s very own Lawrence Picard and they are as sweet and thirst quenching as ever! I’m not sure if dance troops will be a regular feature at the club but we were treated to a stomping dance performance by a group of fabulously dragged up dancers.
From 3D gargoyles and trippy light shows to a spacious dance floor and a history like no other, La Voûte is a spectacular new venue that will no doubt become THE place to be this summer and one of the hottest tickets in town.
