Marvel Universe Live – They have been bombarding our movie theatres, our tv screens and the pages of our comic books and now Marvel’s Superheroes are coming to the Bell Centre. From the 20th to the 23rd of August, Thor, Captain America, Spiderman and more will do battle with their enemies live in the arena. Festival Mode et Design – From the 17th to the 22nd of August the brightest minds in fashion and design will take over the Quartier des spectacles to showcase the names this year’s hottest design trends. From photographers to models, from designers to costume godesses, get to know the people behind the iconic statements that drive our design desires. The weeklong festival also brings some big names from the world of fashion to Montreal for exclusive conferenrces. This year guests include Patricia Field (costumer designer, Sex and the City), Peter Simons (175 years of success at Simons department store) and many more. At the museums –
Rodin’s studio continues to wow at the MMFA with Metamorphoses: In Rodin’s Studio while David Altmejd’s gloriously gory FLUX remain a big draw at the MAC. Down in Old Montreal, the Aztecs: People of the Sun exhibit at Pointe-a-caliere is an informative and breathtaking look at this highly evolved early civilization. Click the links for more info.
